Monday and Tuesday - Feeling hot hot hot

Canada is brilliant, everything is so different. Especially things that you don't think about, like how to cross the road to how the traffic lights look. Also loving how they seem to have the maple leaf on every logo (As demonstarted by the 'Gas' station.)Even their McDonalds logo has a maple leaf. Genius.



We've timed the weather well or badly depending on your point of view. Although its the beginning of their 'fall' it's also extremely hot!! So I have brought the wrong clothes with me, which means a trip to wal marte is in order (The canadian Primark equivilant so I've been told.) Anyway the trees are starting to change colour. Beautiful.



Lovely lakes in the Courtenay area too, the water is soo clear.





Check out the caterpiller. How weird! Have also seen a fluffy black one. James swears that a locust flew into him, but think it was just a fly.



We visited some friends of Chris, who were lovely and made us very welcome. Am starting to realise that Canadians are much friendlier than us Brits. They also gave me ice cream with a red wine-chocolate sauce, which is made on the island as there's quite a few vinyards. Sounds weird but works.



They also made an awesome fire in their back 'yard' to all sit around when the heat had left the day. I may have got carried away with taking the fire shots. Maybe...
